Senior Java Developer needed in Salt Lake City, UT

Phase 3 Recruiting seeks a Senior Java Developer for a new open direct-hire position with our Salt Lake City–area client, an established and thriving corporation with sites throughout the Western United States. Ideal candidates will be smart Java Developers, engineers with 3+ years of Java development, and 5+ years of total development experience. We especially seek thoughtful and insightful developers with strong communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership on a daily basis (including C-level management).

 

The selected Senior Java Developer will join a small group of developers and QA engineers, working on new software projects and optimizing existing applications. Ideal candidates are those who can take project ownership, work in a self-directed manner with little supervision, recognize software bugs and debug code, and lead individual projects. We seek individuals who are not daunted by new technology OR legacy systems, software engineers who are not afraid to communicate with peers, supervisors, and senior leadership.

To be considered, candidates must have Java, JEE experience, along with JSF, Hibernate, JBA, and PostgreSQL. Ideal candidates will also have SEAM experience.

Selected candidate will work on a spectrum of assignments ranging from new products, system and product enhancements, and systems/software architecture. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science (or Math or Electrical Engineering)

3+ years of Java/JEE application development experience

5+ years of enterprise software development experience

Excellent core Java skills, including front AND back-end development

Experience with various Web technologies including JavaScript and MVC Frameworks

Experience with SEAM (preferred but not required)

Experience with RichFaces/IceFaces or other AJAX frameworks, JSF, Facelets, Seam, or Hibernate

Experience with Selenium

PostgreSQL knowledge and experience

SCRUM methodology experience

Senior UI Developer - Orem, UT
