Requirements/Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
Strong object oriented programming experience, specifically in C++, C# and .NET framework
Thorough understanding of Internet technologies, communication protocols, and techniques
Strong experience with multiple Windows platforms
Working experience developing hardware device interfaces
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical skills
Meticulous problem solver
Passion for developing superior products—i.e. producing kick-ass games that people love
Self-starter with ability to work well with minimum supervision
5+ years of web development using ASP.Net, C# and JavaScript
Demonstrable skills with AJAX, JSON, Ajax.net and jQuery
Work experience with XML Web Services (SOAP, REST)

Responsibilities
Produce software that meets the needs of external customers—i.e. software that has them comin’ back for more
Work with the software QA team to provide the best possible product and follow through on issues escalated to the development team
Improve product documentation, sample code, and validation suites
Be responsive to the expectations of sales, test engineers, and the almighty customer

Senior Game Programmer needed in Austin, Texas!


Phase 3 Recruiting is looking for highly motivated and productive Senior Game Programmers for direct-hire positions with our Austin, TX based client—a cutting-edge gaming company.  We are looking for team players to become members of our client’s development teams.  Our client designs and develops networks, software, and content that provide its customers with comprehensive gaming systems delivered through a telecommunications network that links its player terminals with one another, both within and among gaming facilities.  The ongoing development and marketing efforts focus on Class II and Class III gaming systems and products for use in gaming markets in various countries and on video lottery systems.

Responsibilities
Design, modify, and implement casino game software.
Implement and maintain core game systems.
Create unit tests and validation procedures, and document technical specifications.
Verifies that the design is fully implemented and performs as expected, with minimal rework.
Defects identification and resolution.
Identify own tasks and timelines to complete programming objectives.
Provide technical mentorship to other team members.
Manage their own time, plan their own work, and meet deadlines.
Interfaces with Quality Assurance, Game Producers, Game Designers, Artists, Mathematicians, and Sound Designers.


Required Skills
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years experience programming in C++.
Experience using Microsoft Visual C++ for commercial software development.
Thorough knowledge and practical application of object-oriented modeling, design, and development.
Demonstrated history of initiative, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and part of a team, with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and practical application of software development practices such as agile software development, feature driven development, and SDLC.
Demonstrated experience in a technical software development role.
Knowledge of source/revision control systems such as Perforce.
Experience using design patterns and UML modeling preferred.
Game Development experience is preferred

Phase 3 seeks strong candidates for direct-hire Software Engineer positions for a top Nevada employer.  The selected Software Engineers will be responsible for performing complex analysis, design, documentation and testing of new products and/or customer applications. She/he will determine algorithm, write code, complete testing and debugging of desktop and server application software applications.  Interface with other groups to add new or custom features to company products as required.
 
ESSENTIAL MANAGMENT FUNCTIONS:
Design and documentation of new desktop and server application software
Design and estimate time frames, develop, and test software
Produce and maintain of design documentation
Assist in establishing functional requirements for ideas, research and feasibility input
Assist in budget and resource allocation forecasts
 
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the sustaining engineering department in regard to product redesign to resolve product or production issues.
 
Support customer services with field issues as required
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar degree is required
Requires 4 or more years of experience in software development including software for Windows and Linux desktop and server systems
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires good written and verbal communication in English and demonstrated success in leading a team environment.
 
Requires the ability to read and understand digital and analog schematics and to understand and implement hardware interfacing requirements.
