Application Developer (Java or C++) - Salt Lake City, UT


Phase 3 Recruiting is seeking Application Developers for our successful and stable client in Salt Lake City, Utah. Selected candidates will build and maintain applications in a team that is a comprised of developers, analysts, and architects. Our client works with agile development practices with a goal of delivering quality software. Your role will include gathering requirements, active participation in design sessions, and interaction with other technology groups.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with business teams and strategy teams to establish efficient data flows and design systems for our client’s applications. You will work closely with core software engineers to evaluate and implement emerging technologies for optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities will include reviewing, testing, and implementing software, as well as actively monitoring real-time performance while diagnosing any issues with the systems.

Requirements:
2+ years of work experience
Solid Java or C++ programming skills
Strong design, analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in developing distributed applications
Knowledge of Linux or Windows operating systems is preferred.
Experience in working on standardized APIs
Knowledge of a scripting language
Basic knowledge of networking and connectivity

Preferred Experience:
B.S. Degree in Computer Science
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Willing and able to adapt to different technologies in order to achieve goals
