Quality Assurance Manager Opportunity in Mountain View, California

Phase 3 Recruiting seeks a strong Quality Assurance Manager for our Bay Area client, an established and thriving software development company.  This is a great paying direct-hire opportunity for an experienced QA professional with 2+ years of management experience. 
 
The selected candidate will lead a strong team of QA professionals and collectively collaborate with the software development teams to release and ship high quality releases of their SaaS-based, industry-leading Java-based web applications. 
 
The selected QA manager will:
Design and implement the internal QA strategy, with an emphasis on test automation.
Recommend and put in place the tools needed to track testing progress and results.
Manage direct reports as well as perform hands-on tasks as needed. 
 
Requirements
BS in CS or an equivalent field
5+ years in QA, including building test plans and test case execution
2+ years in a QA Leadership role
Experience testing web applications
Ability to define test automation strategies for web-based applications, and lead the implementation of strategies
Linux experience
Excellent communication skills—verbal and written
 
Preferred (but NOT required)
Java Development background
Experience testing in a virtualized environment
 
Additional requirements:
Organizational and problem resolution skills
Meticulous, detail oriented work skills
Willingness to work for mature “start-up” company, launched in 2003
