Phase 3 Recruiting is looking to secure Senior Software Engineers for our New Jersey client, an established and thriving software company serving the financial industry. We are recruiting for direct-hire opportunities based in Jersey City. Ideal candidates will be passionate and ambitious software engineers with strong C++ AND Java development skills, with 4+ years of professional experience. Experience in the financial industry is helpful but NOT required.
We are targeting individuals who understand “the big picture” in terms of software development, especially those with a solid Computer Science foundation and understand core software engineering principles.
Selected candidates will be responsible for a spectrum of assignments from new product development, system and product enhancements to systems architecture and bug fixes.
To be considered, candidates MUST:
Have experience in Concurrent Programming in Java or C++.
Have and understanding of and experience with multi-threaded computing.
Have understanding of complex data structures and their applicability to various search and sort models.
Required Education:
BS Degree in quantitative discipline, preferably Computer Science
Advanced degrees preferred (MS and PhD)
Required Skills:
4+ years of enterprise software development experience
Clear understanding of object-oriented design patterns
Excellent core Java skills
Strong C++ skills
Scripting skills—preferrably Ruby
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and problem resolution skills
Meticulous, detail oriented work skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate with team members
Preferred but NOT required:
Enterprise RDBMS (Oracle and/or Sybase)
Experience in J2EE platforms, such as JBoss
Experience in Java Persistence API implementations such as Hibernate (or similar technologies)
Financial services experience and solid understanding of securities
Details:

Salary Range: $100-150K DOE
