Senior Web Engineer - Los Angeles Area

Phase 3 Recruiting is looking for a Senior Web Engineer with experience in a structured LAMP environment for our client based near Los Angeles, an exciting eCommerce company. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a web application development team. Our client has a team of seasoned high-tech and eCommerce executives who have come together to build a retail website that is focused on the customer. Our client’s website operates in a structured LAMP environment (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP). Recent experience with Python or Ruby is highly desirable.

Required Skills:

LAMP Stack – PHP web application development frameworks

Javascript (jQuery, dojo, mootools, prototype)

AJAX

MVC frameworks is preferred

Memcached

Web application performance optimization

Experience integrating and extending third party packages – both open source and proprietary is desired

Experience with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Marketing, and integration with comparison shopping engines and other marketing tools

BS in Computer Science or related field is preferred
