Senior Web Application Developer needed in Temple City, CA!

Phase 3 Recruiting seeks multiple Senior Web Application Developers for our client based in the Los Angeles area. Our client is a highly successful e-commerce company spun out from the brain-trust that founded Newegg.

We are looking for web app developers with strong Python and JavaScript UI skills and thorough understanding of Django frameworks. Experience with other open source scripting languages including Perl, PHP, and/or Ruby is very helpful.

 

Requirements:

Work History
Ideal candidates will have experience at a high traffic web property, with 100,000+ page views a day (e.g. PriceGrabber, eHarmony, Disney, eBay, Facebook, Google, Yahoo!, etc).0

Broad development experience in more than one area with a high traffic site is strongly preferred.

Languages / Frameworks
Experience with Python (Django Framework), JavaScript UI (Dojo Toolkit) preferred.

Additional experience with PHP is a plus.

Experience with any open source scripting language for web development (Perl, PHP, and/or Ruby) is helpful.

NOTE: candidates with exclusive Java or C# .NET development, and no additional open source languages/tools will not be a fit for these jobs.

Data Awareness
Experience working with data heavy applications required.

Strong knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL databases is highly desired.

Environment
High level of comfort in Linux or UNIX operating systems required.

 

Other Requirements:
Some experience with some other kind of open source technology: memcached, beanstalkd, Lucerne / Apache Solr, Sphinx Search, MongoDB, CouchDB, watir, Selenium, nginx, Cassandra, Infobright, Greenplum, and similar technologies.

Experience with Subversion (SVN) or GIT is preferred.
