Phase 3 announces a new direct-hire opportunity in the Bay Area, a technical lead for the Java development team of an innovative game studio.  Phase 3 is looking for a natural, charismatic leader to direct the talented and creative software development group.  This is a hands-on technical lead role, for a strong Java developer who can take individuals and groups through the entire development cycle.

Phase 3 is looking for proven leaders with enthusiasm, drive, and discipline, as well as effective communication skills, verbal and written—and, of course, excellent programming skills.

The Technical Lead will be responsible for designing and developing new and existing game software, as well as reviewing and implementing new tools and methodologies in the software development group.  The Lead will ensure peak efficiencies and timely deliverables, while leading the support and maintenance of existing products and tools.  She/he will provide architecting from the product level, build technical cases based on the business cases provided.  Moreover, the Technical Lead will provide peer reviews, assist in job interviews, and make key development decisions.  In addition to the leadership responsibilities, the Lead will also perform hands-on coding.
